Thebes,
Egypt more than 3000 years ago: In the
newly built temple of god Aten, the high priest Hetepaten is found
dead in
a mortuary chamber. Apparently he has judged himself with a sickle
sword. This
is the only explanation, because the chamber was protected by temple
guards and
there was no other person in it. But
many believe in a crime because the high priest was a promoter of the Aten religion
praised by
the new Pharaoh.
Mutnedjmet the sister of
Nefertiti, is given the job of finding out more about the death of Hetepaten and does not yet suspect
what deep intrigues between the Pharaoh and the
priesthood she
will get into. She must decide whether she wants to stay on the side of
the
Egyptian traditions or whether she is willing to reveal the truth.
Because the high priest of Amun, has already came up with a
diabolical plan: He consults
the mighty oracle of Amun........
